Bought sand box sand for the salt tank as a substrate and also pea stone gravel for the 55 and as a layer under the sand for the salt tank. Was told on www.tropicalfishonline.net that this has been dopne before successfully. Saved myself a boatload of money since a 50lb bag of sand costs $3 but a 20lb bag of crushed coral costs $30. You do the math!!

Tom stopped by and I pleaded with him to help me lift the terrarium onto the bottom of the stand and put the 55 gal tank onto the top of the stand. Only problem is when we did that, there is not enough clearance to fit a light on top of the terrarium, so they are in the dark for now. Also, we slid the terrarium in from the rear which means I can not pull the tank out to clean it. I filled both the 55 and the 150 today with water. Let's hope no repeats of the living room fiasco.

Picked up tanks today!! What a friggin ordeal. I drove Mom-mom and I in her van to go get them. We loaded them and then headed back home. She dropped the van off while she went to dinner and Mike, Carol and I moved the sucker in!! Sucker being the retardly big 150 gallon tank and stand. That friggin thing weighs a ton!!
